A list to advertise the doings of guitarist, composer and artist Paul Santa Maria and my new CD which features jazz fusion creator / legend Larry Coryell...Mr. Coryell and I have recorded for Cometrecords.com (Jimi Hendrix tribute cd titled: "Voodoo Crossing: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix",) for SGI Buddhist activities (Soka Gakkai International) and now my personal CD. In addition, I have edited Larry's CDs: "Live in Chicago", "Sentenza deo Cuore", "Concerto de la Cote d'Opale".
This new one features a piece I composed entitled "Pascual Lives" for the great Spanish dancer Pascual Olivera, who passed away last September 2003. This music was performed by supergroup Wayne Shorter, Larry Coryell, Buster Williams, Nestor Torres, Wayne Green and others in LA on May 16 and then in Japan May 19th, 2004. It is through the kind and unselfish efforts of Mr. Coryell that my music even got to be heard in the first place, let alone be performed by all these great players so hats off to him. Larry also composed a 3 minute prequel to my song that is only on this cd, unavailable anywhere else.
Also, the CD will feature guitar whiz Michael Bianco, known for his incredible mastery of the 7-string and his invention of the dual 7-string guitar:(www.michaelbianco.com) Mike is my good friend and he's a genius to know. His playing is known to the likes of Steve Vai, Jeff Beck and his friend Jennifer Batten!
Finally, there will be guests who are students who are whizzes enough to be on my CD, they can actually execute my weird tunes: Larry has pronounced some of my lines to be "sadistic" to the fingers! (Ha!) The CD wil be executed mostly with my beautiful 1961 Gibson Johnny Smith in addition to my Les Paul (Played by Larry on the Hendrix CD Voodoo Crossing on "Purple Haze") my 1976 MusicMan Stingray bass and a Dean Exotiglass acoustic.

Thanks, Peace and Jazz!
