If you've been to the previous two shows that PDX Pop Now! has put on
at City Hall, you know it's they are something special. Little kids
leapfrogging in the early evening sunshine to the sounds of avan jazz-
rock skronk in front of the seat of local government. Weird dudes
doing break dance moves on their heads to folk rock as Mayor Potter
asks the audience if they are "ready to rock." And tones of good
local tunes played to a far from typical crowd in a symbolic gesture
that local music is central to life in Portland, and that
participation in local creative culture is valuable. Come join us as
we enter the third free, all-ages, outdoor, early-evening installment
into the records.
