a pair of form fitting (and I mean form filling and fitting) black jeans, a
black t-shirt and a white dinner jacket with a black lapel. You all know how I
feel about the shoes…my eyes went straight to them. He had on a pair of black
cowboy boots that looked like they were a size 13.…hmmmm….Anyway, the excitement
was buzzing while he was prompting the audience to put their hands together with
the beat. The first song he sang was Heavenly. The crowd wasn't familiar with
it, it was a Feel The Fire kind of crowd, but the song was executed perfectly.
I guess a few of us were singing the song (my focus was totally on him) but he
saw me singing and he starting singing to me. They had a huge Jumbo Tron screen
broadcasting the show, and that moment was showing on the screen. I will try to
locate the video from the Festival folks. They had me on the screen several
times because I was completely ANIMATED!!!!

the crowd to which he responded "yeah I'm cut" AND HE WAS!! Those arms, those
arms! After Heavenly, he went into his hits that the crowd was familiar with,
If Ever Your In My Arms Again, I'm So Into You, Let The Feeling Flow (which was
a treat for me…been so long since I've heard it live) Missing You….he took that
one STRAIGHT TO THE CHURCH, no stops in between….Can You Stop The Rain (complete
w/thunder sound effects) Tonight I Celebrate, A Whole New World, Feel The Fire,
Aint Nobody. The band played an intro I've never heard that was real funky, I
thought it would bring in Reaching For The Sky (would love to hear that one
again too) But they stopped on dime and went into Aint Nobody.

couples by questioning them how often do they tell each other that they loved
one another. Somebody must have gave THE WRONG answer cuz he told them "they
needed to learn the words to this song" If Ever Your In My Arms….He acknowledged
the passing of Luther, Gerald and Waymon Tisdale while he sang Missing You. At
a certain point he acknowledged the Lord as the source of his GIFT. He spoke of
his faith and thanked the Lord for his awesome GIFT. That's what I'm talking
about THE SOURCE!

leopard print jacket that he finished out the show on. I could've looked at the
arms a little more, but alas…He was in great voice taking some unexpected vocal
twists, turns and tricks. His voice was almost soaring at points prompting
folks in the audience to shout 'sing it Peabo!' and he was singing it! And then
it was over. Everybody on the left side of the stage got roses, where was I? On
the right…oh well…. Part 3 on the way….
