I've just discovered that the show which claims to be 01 June 2004 on John Peel
Torrent Compilation is actually the show from 02 June 2004. If anyone has the
real 01 June 2004 show (session from Numbers) and is able to make it available,
I'd be very grateful.
I have the correct show (as an 80K MP3). But I'll hold fire before
uploading in case anyone else has it at a higher bitrate.
Eddie.

While we're here, my copy of the show from 02 June 2004 (Mugstar in session) is incomplete. Any chance of a copy of that going up from the same 128 kbps source?

Sure, no problem. I have most of the 2002-2004 Peel shows in this format, I'll
start posting them in a couple of torrent files, or at least the ones that are
not already on the 17 DVD torrent set.
Here is the first one, with shows from 2004-04-13 to 2004-07-13:
Thanks for these ! Out of interest, how were they recorded - FM or
digital radio, or internet ?

I recorded them from satellite radio, these shows were all recorded from a DVB-s
tuner and directly encoded to mp3 on my PC. The early shows sometimes have some
skipping (often at the start of the show), but I think most of them are OK.
So the source is 192 kbit mp2, and encoded with lame at 128 kbit mp3.

Great - that's a big upgrade from 80kbps ! It's quite poignant to listen
to 2004 Peel, knowing his passing is near... Plus, of course, the music
is the most recent, 'modern'. That just reminded me of a classic album
by Be Bop Deluxe - "Modern Music" !
