The Imperials are a Drum and Bugle corps, or, a Brass and Percussion Marching group with Color Guard. If you've never heard of such a group, then think of the Imperials as an Intensely fun Independent Marching Band! Members of the Imperials will be exposed to the finest quality musical training, marching instruction and choreography at no cost.
How do we do it? We get paid for perfoming so that money goes into the corps' operating budget.
We will accept applications for individuals who display proper maturity, regardless of where they live. People who want to perform at a high level for appreciative audiences and at public appearances. Individuals will be taught at a high level of excellence by a highly qualified and expert instructional staff. They will learn a very unique and interesting activity, which combines aspects of the performing arts with an intensity of physical demands very similar to athletics!
It has been proven, time and time again, that the marching arts activity is a highly effective character building activity. It has strengthened the self esteem of many individuals and in many cases, has redirected the lives of individuals to help them become focused, driven and self supporting. It is also an incredibly rewarding and fun activity. It is a diverse activity, always inclusive of anyone, regardless of age, socioeconomic status, orientation or ethnic background.
The Imperials stands for Friendship, Inclusiveness, Music Education, Excellence and Virtue.
