Dear Friends,

Our group created a 'possible' discography for THE BEATLES from 1970 to 1981,
including hits from their solo carears. These resulted in 12 albuns (and of
course, a double one...). We are now creating the artwork for these albuns, some
are ready, some not yet, all to be posted when completed.

Find us at http://beatles7081.blogspot.com, and also at Orkut

Greetings Fellow Fans,
I know Paul's shows, the upcoming remasters and the Beatles RockBand are
in the forefront of the news, but I'd like to share something with
everyone...
Many of you know me personally or as the host/organizer of the "Magical
History Tour" to Liverpool. Others may be on my mailing list from years of
conventions or weekend getaways for fans, or when I was publisher/editor of
the Beatles magazine "Good Day Sunshine."
In any case, I know you love the Beatles asmuch as I do, but this post is
off the Beatles' path. As some of you may know, along with the Beatles
theme tours and events, I also host/organize the Halloween "Dracula Tour" to
Transylvania. Besides the Beatles, I'm a huge vampire/horror buff. Since
there already a great column being written on the Beatles online - which
everyone should read: (_http://www.examiner.com/x-2082-Beatles-Examiner_
(http://www.examiner.com/x-2082-Beatles-Examiner) ), I have begun an online
horror
column with examiner.
I recently became the National Horror Happenings editor for examiner.com.
This is very cool & exciting. I report on stuff related to horror films &
happenings, plus Halloween and haunted attractions. Of course I throw in as
many Beatle references as possible. Here's one example of a Beatles
connection:

But I need your support, and it's so simple - and free! Just read my
articles. Whenever you get an email from me/examiner (usually a couple of times
a week), PLEASE just open the email and click to the article. I get credit
for every reader. Hopefully you'll read & enjoy what I write. Here's how to
do it...

Please go here to check it out:

Then, please click on "Subscribe to Email" and enter your email under

Then, whenever you get an email from me/examiner, please always open the
article.

Please tell everyone you know to subscribe and click into the articles.
It's free and there's no obligation. Thank you so much for your support.

In 2009, America celebrates the Beatles' 45th anniversary, and this
year we invite you to join fellow fans on the 26th annual world
famous MAGICAL HISTORY TOUR, August 23-September 2, 2009. It's the
British Invasion in reverse, as we invade the Beatles' homeland!

The tour will encompass every imaginable landmark in England,
including Beatles homes, schools, clubs, early hangouts, etc.
Highlights include concerts by the world's greatest Beatle bands at
such venues as the famed Cavern Club; complete fully-guided and
professional escorted sightseeing tours of the Beatles sites in
Liverpool, London and also Paris; a traditional panoramic sightseeing
tour of historic London; meetings with celebrities and dignitaries
related to the Beatles' legacy; plus much more. Also included are
visits to Abbey Road, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, the Palladium and
every Beatles locale that fans have only seen in books or postcards
or heard about in song lyrics. We will go inside Paul & John's
childhood homes, and have parties inside both the Jacaranda and Blue
Angel Caf, hosted by The Beatles first manager, Allan Williams. This
year's tour will also include an optional visit to Amsterdam, where
The Beatles toured with replacement drummer Jimmy Nichol and where we
party inside the famous John & Yoko "Bed-In" suite at the Amsterdam
Hilton. Fans will also get to meet the Beatles' hairdresser 1967-
1975, Leslie Cavendish.

A highlight of the tour is "Beatle Week" in Liverpool, featuring the
International Beatles Convention, the Mersey Street Music Festival
and the annual Liverpool Beatles Auction. There is also a
V.I.P. "Twist & Shout" dance party in the London Hard Rock Caf with
special guests, and some of the world's greatest Beatle bands will be
performing while we are in Liverpool. We will party at the Cavern
Club, Cavern Pub, Jacaranda and the Blue Angel Cafe, the latter event
to be hosted by original owner Allan ("The Man Who Gave The Beatles
Away") Williams. We will also visit George's Friar Park home in
Henley-on-Thames.

Fans will meet and greet many Beatle associates, relatives and
dignitaries who take part in the annual festivities. Recently, the
Liverpool guided tours have been hosted by John Lennon's sister
Julia, who has provided insight and anecdotes about her family and
The Beatles that no other tour guide could ever know. On our prior
tours, fans have had close encounters with Paul McCartney, George
Harrison, Julian Lennon, George Martin, Pete Best, Cynthia and
countless others. The tour is hosted by Beatles aficionado Charles F.
Rosenay!!! and international Beatles expert Rene van Haarlem,
publisher/editor of the highly-acclaimed Beatles magazine "Beatles
Unlimited."

The tour is presented BY Beatles Fans FOR Beatles fans, and includes
round-trip airfare, deluxe hotel accommodations, luxury coach land
transport, all transfers, guided tours, breakfasts, all admissions,
attractions, concerts and parties. It is the only tour that includes
all admissions and is sanctioned by Cavern City Tours in association
with Liverpool's BeatleWeek. It is the only tour to ever get fans
inside Abbey Road Studios for actual recording sessions, and the only
tour to be welcomed into Liverpool Town Hall with an official civic
reception by the Liverpool Lord Mayor.

The vacation is open to all ages and is ideal for single travelers as
well as couples and families. It is designed for the first-time
traveler as well as the seasoned tourist. It is also highly
recommended for Beatles collectors and historians. Reservations are
currently being accepted. Reports on past tours are available on the
website www.LiverpoolTours.com. If you've ever wanted to take the
tour, don't wait any longer - THIS IS THE YEAR! No other tour offers
as much fun, as much value, as many activities and as many "Beatle-
ful" features as this tour, now in its twenty-sixth year.

If you're there, come out and say "hi"....I'm the only girl in the
band.

Answer#412:
On the Beatles LOVE soundtrack, the guitar solo inserted into "Drive
My Car" is from "Taxman"

Trivia#413:
Finally the work of the Traveling Wilburys is set for rerelease...
Name the Wilburys albums.

News For Immediate Release

John Lennon's Sister Julia

to host Liverpool Tour

The Magical History Tour is proud to announce that this year's tour of
Liverpool will be hosted by very special guest of honor Julia Baird, who has
just written her new memoirs of her brother John Lennon, entitled "Imagine
This." The book is currently only available in the U.K., but Julia will be
autographing copies for all the travelers.
This is just one feature of the 2007 Magical History Tour hosted by
Liverpool Productions, the only company in the world that has brought
thousands of
satisfied fans to the Beatles' city for so many years. We are honored by the
distinction of twice being recognized by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool for
supporting Liverpool tourism, and we are proud to be the longest-running and
most
respected tour for Beatles fans anywhere! But mostly we are proud of the
level of satisfaction among all our past travelers who all had the time of
their
lives.
References are available upon request.
By popular demand, for 2007 we once again add the option of Hamburg, so fans
can experience the Beatle landmarks in that city along with Liverpool and
London, including a recreation of the Beatles earliest clubs gigs in Hamburg.
The tour is 13 Beatle-ful days, from August 18-30, but we can customize or
modify this one to include shorter stays. You could join us for London &
Liverpool only if you don't wish to add the Hamburg option, or you could opt
for
Liverpool only.
In Liverpool, we will visit every imaginable site as we do every year, plus
enjoy all the exclusive events our group is privy to. No other tour goes to
all the places we go to, gets inside the places we have access to, and has as
much fun! No other group gets its travelers into front row seating for all
events. Be part of the first-ever Penny Lane festival this year! This is a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those visiting Liverpool this summer, as the
city celebrates its 800th birthday. It is also the 50th anniversary of the
Cavern Club and the 40th anniversary of the Sgt. Pepper album and the "Summer
of
  Love."
In London we will be have our now-annual "Twist & Shout" Beatles party at
The Hard Rock Café, where we'll eat, drink, dance, and visit the rarest
memorabilia in "The Vault" with special celebrity guests. Visit Abbey Road and
the
nearby, newly-opened Beatles Coffee Shop, owned and operated by husband & wife
Richard and Irina Porter, the tour-guides in London. For activities in
London and Liverpool, please refer to the past tour reports on our website, and
know that we'll be adding new surprises. While you're on the website, we
encourage you to read all the other great tour reports to give you a taste of
some
of the Fabtastic things we do on the tours. Visit _www.LiverpoolTours.com_
(http://www.liverpooltours.com/) .
On past tours and promotions fans have had close encounters with Paul
McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Julian Lennon and George Martin.
Expect to
meet a whole host of Beatles notables on our tour. Among the special guests
on last year's tour were original Beatles drummer Pete Best, Joey Molland
(Badfinger), Gerry Marsden (Gerry & The Pacemakers), Tony Sheridan, and
legendary 60's singer/songwriter Donovan, to name but a few.
The "Magical History Tour" has been written about in national newspapers, in
Beatles magazines, it's been talked about on radio stations worldwide, and
has even been featured on television, most notably on the Travel Channel and
the BBC!
The response to MMTour 2007 has been great. Please note that 4 of the past 5
tours completely sold out, and reservations are already coming in. Don't
miss out on what is the definitive fan tour celebration in all of Beatledom for
nearly 25 years. We still have space for you! If you would like further info,
a full-color brochure, detailed prices, reservation form, itinerary and
other specifics, kindly email us your full name and address, and we will rush
you
printed materials on what promises to be the greatest tour ever. Join us and
be part of history; you'll have the time of your life! It's guaranteed to
raise many smiles! Reserve your space today.

Hi evryone. I don't post much but I sure enjoy reading. However, I couldn't let
this subject pass. Back in 1978 I was a starving actress in NY. My mother-n-law
was a private nurse to a gentleman who lived at the Dakota. As she lived there
with him as well, when we'd go visit we'd visit her there. One afternoon my
husband and I were on the elevator to her apt. when John and Yoko walked in. It
took my husband a few minutes to figure out why I suddenly stopped breathing and
coulnd't say a word. Then he got into a quick conversation with John, something
like what wher the chances of actually running into John let alone ride the
elevator with him, which John thought was amusing - I ofcourse kept
concentrating on trying not to pass out and look stupid so I kept quiet. When we
got to my mom in law's floor my husband said it was great talking to them and we
got out. As soon as I hit the floor and the door closed I sank to the floor and
tried to regain my composure. Sure I knew
they lived there, but like my husband had said, what were the chances? My head
kept shouting at me that I had just shared the same space with someone I
considered almost a god, whom I'd loved since I first saw them when I was 7
years old on Ed Sullivan and it just wouldn't compute. Needless to say I paid
almost no attention to the visit...LOL!!

Has anyone ever had a encounter where he/she ALMOST had a personal
contact with one of the Beatles? I was at the Weston Great Southern
Hotel in Columbus Ohio after a meter maid (no kidding) told me Paul
McCartneys crew was staying there. I thought I would go down there &
spend the afternoon waiting for Paul to pass through the lobby before
the concert. I sat there for 2 hours hearing men with English accents
go up to the hotel front desk. I even hopped the elevator they were
using. I wrote some notes & left one on each floor of the hotel. Back
in the lobby, I could swear a woman looking like Heather went into the
hotel bar for a drink. I asked a man passing through the lobby (he had
the English accent) if he could pass a note to Paul with my address &
phone. He said, " I can't do that, we are not permitted." Anyone else
almost make contact? Did you barely miss your dream come true? Some
times I think I should have tried harder...Rick

Hello hello...

I just returned home from a fabulous Las Vegas weekend. Of course
the main purpose of the

trip was to attend the Beatles LOVE performance. Before I mention
the show itself...
Along the strip, Beatles music sounds clearly from video
advertisements. The Mirage was

fully decked out in Beatles LOVE banners. In other words, the
Beatles are a big presence in

Las Vegas (dare I say, bigger than Elvis).
Anyways, the show is spectacular. It combines dance and drama and
comedy... Mostly though,

it is just impressive visual movements that fit perfectly with each
song. Each theatre seat

has a set of speakers built right intot he back of it, so the lads
sound amazing. From my

persective, I would say I expected more acrobatics (having seen other
Cirque shows). Less

is not a bad thing, just a difference from my expected. My seats
were the second cheapest,

and in the front row of a balcony. I would recommend this position
to everyone because from

the high vantage point one can see everything (and much better than
the people in the more

expensive floor seats).

Please excuse the off-topic post however this issue is, I'm sure,
important to many of the members of this list. Thanks for your
indulgence, and ACTION! - :)Steve
-----------------------------------------
Your choice to listen to The Fab 4 on Internet Radio is in Real,
Immediate peril again from March Govt. Regulatory Ruling - Background
& TAKE ACTION below!

Coporate Music Rules America (RIAA) is trying to vastly limit your
listening choices once again, folks. Please take a moment of your time
to look over what I have put together below on this issue, then please
take action - Thanks, Steve.

(Note: For those of you interested in some background see directly
below. For those of you who want to TAKE ACTION! immediately see
further down the page at the *****).

BACKGROUND: On March 2, 2007, The CRB (Copyright Royalty Board)
approved royalty rates that will bury any small webcaster and create a
heavy burden even for big broadcasters like Yahoo and AOL Music.

How did this happen? The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of
America) told the CRB thats what they wanted, and the CRB just gave it
to them.

Your're probably thinking, hey that's awful, but who are the the RIAA
and CRB?

RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is a lobbying group
formed by the five largest record labels. They are embedded in
Washington D.C. They make sure laws are written to keep them rich, no
matter what.

The CRB (Copyright Royalty Board) is part of the US Copyright Office.
The Board is charged with determining the royalty rates that would be
determined by a willing buyer and a willing seller in a marketplace
transaction. They decided to jack the rates beyond a broadcasters
means despite decades of royalty rates being 1 - 2% of broadcaster
revenue.

In sum, these new performance royalty fees are based exclusively on
the number of people tuned into an Internet radio station, rather than
on a portion of the station's revenue. They discarded all evidence
presented by webcasters about the potentially crippling effect on the
industry of such a rate structure, and rubber-stamped the rates
requested by the RIAA.

Under this royalty structure, an Internet radio station with an
average listenership of 1000 people would owe $134,000 in royalties
during 2007 - plus $98,000 in back payments for 2006. In 2008 they
would owe $171,000, and $220,000 in 2009.

There is no way for a station with 1000 listeners to make that kind of
money. That's over $11 per listener per month in 2007. No Internet
radio station currently operating comes even close to that kind of income.

In other words, if they are allowed to stand these rates are a death
sentence for independent Internet radio stations. The only stations
that would survive would be those who can AFFORD TO OPERATE AT A VERY,
VERY LARGE LOSS such as AOL (who would owe over $20,000,000 in 2006,
far in excess of their income from radio) and maybe Yahoo.

As quoted in Boston.com on 3-14-07, Mark Lam, chief executive of
Live365 Inc., a major Internet broadcast service (AND THE HOST OF MY
INTERNET RADIO STATION 'NEWGRASS, PROG & MORE!', says the new rates
will kill off most Internet broadcasters. "As the current law stands,
we are out," he said. The CEO of Pandora, another large, popular
internet-only broadcast service said essentially the same thing.

A Big Guy Speaks out against this debacle: DAVID BYRNE (former lead
singer for the ultra-successful new wave band THE TALKING HEADS) has
this to say in his blog: "The reasoning that it's for the benefit of
the artists rings a little hollow as most artists heard this argument
re: cracking down on file sharing," Byrne writes. "Most never see
money from their record companies anyway so the line about 'we're
doing it for you' is pretty suspect."

a little guys speak out against this debacle: Matthew Ebel, an
independent musician and podcaster says in his blog that, "You'd think
that, as a musician, I'd be overjoyed to see a larger slice of the pie
going to publishers and, therefore, guys like me. Hell no. Would I
like to see a little chunk of change every time my music gets played
anywhere? Of course I would. But am I willing to sacrifice the
goodwill of internet broadcasters and their listeners simply to make,
quite literally, a nickel?"

***** SO WHAT CAN YOU DO/WHERE CAN YOU GO TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD ON
THIS ISSUE?! No, it's not world peace, and end to hunger, or anything
even close to that. However, if music is as important to your life as
it is to mine being a webcaster allows me the creative space each
evening to unwind so that I can have that much more mental energy and
enthusiasm for my full-time job as a special educator in Virginia's
public schools then take some time to visit the websites below and
take action on web radio's behalf.

Cheers...

I'm getting so excited...in two weeks I am going to Las Vegas to see
LOVE.
Have any of you seen it? What did you think?
Anyways, the word I've heard is it is one incredable show.
Meanwhile, I've been rehersing alot with the Yellow SubMorons (Rutles
Tirbute) in

preparation for Abbey Road on the River in May and Beatle Week
(Liverpool) in August.
We (myself and the other cofounder of the band) have also written
nine original Rutlesque

songs that we are hoping to turn into an album.
Check us out online at:

Answer#410:
The creature used as a logo for George Harrison's Dark Horse Records
is a...
Uchaishravas

From Wikapedia:
In Hindu mythology, Uchaishravas ("sharp-ears") is a seven-headed
flying horse, that was obtained during the churning of the milk
ocean. Bali, leader of the Asuras, took possession of this horse.
George Harrison later used it as the symbol for his Dark Horse
Records music label. Uchaishravas is said to be snow white in colour,
with a jet black tail.

Trivia#411:
Name the George Harrison albums on the Dark Horse lable.

Good Morning Good Morning....

Alright....let's just skip to my most interesting latest story.
Last week on Feb 3, I worked at a Montgomery Gentry show.
The people, who attended that show, spent the night throwing things
at each other.
Hmmmmm....
Anyways, hopefully everyone enjoyed George Harrison's birthday (a
couple weeks

back)...anyone do something special to commemorate?

Answer#409:
John and Yoko held their bed-ins in Montreal and Amsterdam.

what type of creature is used as a logo for George Harrison's Dark
Horse Records?
(hint: the creature has a specific name)
