Hi Cat and Jess,
You are not too late at all - I didn't give anybody much notice but I have
already had enough responses to make a new page and I am happy to go on adding
new comments for a while yet - I have already added your message and the new
page can be seen at: http://www.peterdoylewebsite.net/thisnthat/birthday60.html
If anybody else wants to send in a message for the new page - please do!

Hi Gwyneth,
Unfortunately I was so busy yesterday that I was not able to put a comment
regarding Peter's 60th birthday.
Peter is one of a kind and still the best. Peter will always play an
important role in the music we are recording.
We are still impressed about the melodies and lyrics he wrote. We believe that
the world not only lost a great personality but above all one of the biggest
talented musicians. Therefore we will make sure Peter's songs and guitar playing
will always be heard on every album we record.
Peter, happy birthday! Your legacy lives on forever................

Judging by messages I am already receiving at the website, I don't really need
to remind you that tomorrow (or today, in Peter's corner of the world), marks
what would have been Peter Doyle's 60th birthday, but I couln't let it pass
without a mention.
Nothing new just concerning Peter at the moment, but there is a new New Seeker
CD in the charts, a compilation of New Seeker hits from Peter's time with the
group and later and a few tracks from the latest line-up.
No doubt most of us will be making time to listen to something of Peter's
tomorrow, but since it it midweek, you may be too busy to listen to a lot - if
you could only make time for one song of Peter's tomorrow, what would it be?
Perhaps you would like to share a few birthday thoughts or memories with us
here, or send them into the website and if there is enough, we could have a new
birthday web page to commemorate this special birthday.

our website http://www.de2ign.org
We've recorded 2 songs of the album Skin Deep.As you probably know the Peter

second album will even have more Peter Doyle surprises(album will be released
this year). We wish you lots of joy!
Jess
PS You can have a pre-listen to some of the tracks of our tribute album:

Welcome to the group SpoonieJune!
When I Was Small has only been officially released on the 3 CD set
Reader's Digest Collection and the 2 CD set Songbook, which Susan has
already mentioned. Both also contain Goin Back, so it would be worth
you checking the e-bay listing for the item you have found, so far as
I know, both CD sets are still available new, though I haven't checked
recently.
When I Was Small is also on the DVD/video releases of the Royal Albert
Hall concert, which may not be so easy to get hold of new (anybody in
the group tried recently?). Goin' Back isn't on that.
If you go to the Peter Doyle Website, there is a complete list of all
his released songs, with links to more information about them,
including what albums, CDs etc. they have been released on:
http://www.peterdoylewebsite.net/songs/songlist.htm
I try to keep it up to date - but if anybody out there knows of
anything I have missed, please let me know.

Thanks will look out for that.I've actually found a cd on ebay that
features another of my favourites...When I Was Small
Didn't realise this group existed.Am and was a massive fan of
Peters. He was my favourite 'Seeker'.All my friends loved either Marty
or Paul but not me.I used to go weak at the knees everytime I saw
him.And when he sang...well I was in seventh heaven.
Hi Roger,
So far as I know, the only New Seeker lyrics that were ever published
in print were just from the A sides of their hits. I believe you can
find words to other New Seeker songs on some of the lyrics websites
but I'm not aware that Boom Town is amongst them.
- If anybody has any different information, please let us know!

There is a picture of Peter's grave on the Peter Doyle Website perhaps
it's not as easy to find as I thought? You can see it at:
http://www.peterdoylewebsite.net/intro/petersgrave.htm
It's no use attaching anything to messages addressed to the group,
Yahoo will remove attachments before posting anything. It is a
protection against spreading viruses to all group members. If you
want to send any attachments to another group member you will have to
do it from your own private e-mail address to theirs, but also, avoid
posting your private address on the message board, if it isn't already
visible in the members' listing you can edit your details to allow it
show for another member to pick it up.

especially loved her new version of I'll Be Home and like you, I would
love to hear more people's comments on this labour of love.
