~>Pittsburgh Music History 1977-1989<~ is a project concocted to capture the history, stories, activities, house-parties, photography, club appearances, nightmares, music files, fashion and art that epitomized the birth of the PUNK MOVEMENT in that Tarnished Buckle of the Rust Belt; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
It was a vibrant music scene, with dozens of bands, in a town that time and major labels had forgotten.
Please add your memories and anecdotes.
We may have scattered to all points of the globe but the mutual scene we experienced should be recounted and shared by all.*

Punk/post-punk/new wave/no-wave/avant-noise-funk/proto-indie-rock/art damage/etc., all are welcome.
