FYI,
he once recorded a sort-of cover of Billy Bragg's 'I Dreamed I saw
Phil Ochs last night' on the backside of a 7" (Gesundheit I think)
which was interesting to say the least. This was under the Palace moniker.

these artists, like Bright eyes, Ryan Adams that buries you in new
releases; they are over prolific. It's good to hear that song
covered- from the best Phil LP_ REHERSaLS 4 Retirement.

whole career? Same with Leonard cohen, springsteen even Bowie- the
longer u wait and make your audience wait, generally the better the CD
is. I hate not being able to keep up with an artist. Bonnie prince
billy must of released 5 CDs in the past 2 years. I guess it's
cheaper, these days, than in the days of the LP. AND with 15 plus
songs on a CD as opposed to 8 or 9 solide LP tracks on side one and
two, we suffer from TOO much. Make the audience want MORE, bonnie boy.

or PALACE (The guy records under a myriad of names) Try the BPB LP I
see a Darkness- There are 2 songs on that that Johnny Cash covered on
his last CD B4 dying.

a lot of covers and his version of the David allen coe song "IN MY
