Our local daily newspaper, the Syracuse Post Standard, has asked readers
to submit information ( for publication ) regarding their "Vanity" license
plates. The following is my contribution:



Over the years, so many people asked me what PHILOCHS means, that I've
finally added a rear plate holder that, I hope, helps to answer that question.
Phil Ochs was, perhaps, the most prolific and dynamic spokesman of the Folk
scene from the early '60's to the mid-'70's. Unfortunately, most of what he
wrote against is still happening today under the mis-guidance of the Bush
administration. Phil was a beacon of light that has shown me the way for the
past 40+ years. And if my plate encourages just one person a day to "Google"
his name, then I have done my job and PHILOCHS's legacy will continue.
