For Your Ears Only
With special guests, the Carmen Curlers,
at the Royal Academy of Music
Dear friend,
For one night only and For Your Ears Only, you are invited to enjoy an evening of classic songs from the golden era of James Bond movies, the 1960s and 70s, featuring the Pink Singers, London's lesbian and gay community chorus. This event will be held at Duke's Hall, the Royal Academy of Music in London on Saturday 6th December 2003 and will also feature special guests, lesbian and gay choir the Carmen Curlers from Copenhagen, Denmark. The concert will be sign-language interpreted.
For the best concert programme anywhere in London on 6th December, take one Best of Bond medley, featuring Goldfinger, Live and Let Die and Diamonds Are Forever, mix with some classic love songs from the movies and serve, stirred but not shaken, with a little Simon and Garfunkel.
This event is a part of a fundraising drive by the Pink Singers to enable the choir to travel to Montreal, Canada in July 2004 to attend the GALA Choruses (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) 7th International Choir Festival.
Tickets are available in advance at £10 each (bookings: 07020 934 678), or can be bought on the door for £12. The concession price is £6. Duke's Hall is part of the Royal Academy of Music and is situated on Marylebone Road, London NW1. The nearest tube station is Baker Street.
Doors open at 7.00p.m and the concert starts at 7.30p.m – be there to enjoy it!
