If you're a former member of the Pink Singers, don't forget to get your tickets for the forthcoming Pink Singers 25th Anniversary ball on Saturday 12th April. We would love to celebrate this occasion with as many people who have sung with the Pinkies over the years as possible. We have hired a luxury, three-deck party boat on the Thames for the event with buffet, DJ and bar! Tickets are £25 each. please hurry if you would like a ticket or two - demand is expected to be high for the remaining tickets and you will need to purchase and obtain your ticket(s) in advance, as they will not be available at the event itself. Various Voices London 2009

 

Various Voices, the four yearly gathering of Choirs from all over Europe is happening here in London 1st–4th May 2009 at the Southbank Centre. You can read a summary of the festival and the Pink Singers’ involvement in it here: http://www.pinksingers.co.uk/2_5.html

 

It is being organised by London’s LGBT community for the enjoyment of the whole community, lead by Team London supported by the stakeholder choirs, the Pink Singers, Diversity Choir and the London Gay Men’s Chorus in collaboration with the Southbank Centre; it will bring together over 3,000 registered delegates and up to 65 choirs to our city for four days of interaction, celebration and growth. Festival Volunteers

Various Voices are also looking for volunteers to fulfil a whole host of jobs including: Individual Choir Liaison; Front of House; Information hosts, selling merchandise, bags check, choir performance check in, office, organising and a whole array of support as well as performance support behind the scenes. Volunteers will be needed before, during and after the event of Various Voices London.

 

Hosted Accommodation Hosts

Do you have a guest room? Would you consider being a host to one or more of the out-of-town visitors? Long term international friendships can grow from such encounters and hosts should receive a modest monetary offering as suggested in our hosting charter on the website.
