I have read Piper's position statement on Divorce & Remarriage and have
listened to the two sermons he has preached on the topic. My question
is this. If a believer was divorced & remarried prior to their
conversion, as I understand Piper, he would say they do not meet the
biblical requirements Paul set for church officers. But if all things
are new at conversion and we are forgiven of all sins, how can this sin
of divorce disqualify them from being a church officer? Thank you so
