Hello to all of you!
It is good to have John Piper back in the pulpit. It was also a
blessing to hear the various speakers who addressed Bethlehem during
John's absence. In particular I really was blessed by the messages given
by pastor Kenny Stokes. His first message in particular really resonated
with me. Let's pray that pastor John provide these other gifted brothers
with opportunities to fill in for him every now and then.
In His love,

Hi Christine! I am not sure how much you will hear from this group, I
joined years ago and it was very active but rejoined recently and
nothing has been happening :). But maybe we can get it going again!

Dear Friends,
IMPORTANT NEWS
for online readers of the Sound of Grace theological journal
Recently Sovereign Grace New Covenant Ministries made the decision to
discontinue the distribution of the free digital issues of Sound of
Grace. This decision brings to a conclusion our 18 years of hosting the
Sound of Grace pages. Paid subscriptions are available through New
Covenant Media
<http://www.newcovenantmedia.com/product.php?productid=125&cat=2&bestsel\
ler=Y> . We continue to serve as a host for the sermons of John Piper
and Lord willing we intend to bring the sermons up to date in the weeks
ahead.
Our Future Direction
With the loss of the Sound of Grace journal we have reviewed how best to
move forward and after consulting with ministry friends we have made the
decision to utilize and increase our resources on this domain. As some
of you know we have hosted John Piper's sermon library since 1995. Over
the years Piper's Notes <http://www.soundofgrace.com/piper.htm> has
proven to be a tremendously popular theological and pastoral resource.
Its sermon pages have drawn millions of readers from all over the world
and we hope and pray they will continue to serve as a valuable resource
for Christians world-wide in the years ahead. In addition to the sermon
library we intend to increase the exposure of New Covenant oriented
ministries such as Providence Theological Seminary <http://ptsco.org> ,
Christ My Covenant <http://www.christmycovenant.com> , the Earth Stove
Society <http://www.earthstovesociety.com> and several other excellent
online resources.
A big thank you to all of you PiperTalkers for your continued friendship
and prayers!
Much love,
Moe Bergeron
Ps., We are utilizing our familiar "The Friends of John Bunyan
<http://www.soundofgrace.com> " nick name on the soundofgrace.com
domain as we move forward.

Dear Colleen,
PiperTalk and Piper's Notes are separate from Desiring God. Piper's
Notes is the original home for Dr. John Piper's sermon library. Desiring
God serves as a portal for almost all things John Piper and that would
include his text, audio and video messages, conference audio and videos and
a ton of great reading material.
Grace!

Duane,
I thought Piper's work in Romans was tops as a series. It was his best
expository series by far.
Thanks!

Piper's latest sermon.
Jesus is not the kind of Messiah the people of Israel wanted. They didn't like
his lowliness (Isaiah 53) and they didn't like his glory (Isaiah 6). This is one
of the sad parts in the Gospel of John — "[Jesus] came to his own, and his own
people did not receive him" (John 1:11).
But this rejection was no accident. Jesus came to save sinners by his death in
their place, and Israel's unbelief was part of God's plan to make this salvation
possible for the whole world.
So the sadness isn't ultimate. It's there to make us glad. It was planned to
give us peace and forgiveness — if we love God's glory and embrace Jesus, the
glorious and despised Messiah.

Grace!

Rob,
How long has it been my dear brother?
God has been very kind to us for having permitted us to reach to the world with
the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are applying ourselves to update the sermon
library at Piper's Notes. Pray that we utilize all that God has provided for His
glory!
It is so good to hear from you in New Zealand. I pray your health is well and
that God is more precious to you now than ever.
Much love,
Moe

Fellow Servants of Christ,
I pray that everyone had a special day in rejoicing our wonderful Jesus Christ
birth. I pray that if your year was not a good year, that you stop where you are
right now and just start praising the Lord for what you have. We are truly so
gifted. I love that phrase Moe, Pray that we utilize all that God has provided
for His glory! I am truly one of the most blessed men in the World today. My
journey that the Lord has me on is something I could only dream about.
I now want to pray for the up coming year 2012, that we would start seeing the
image of God in all of those around us each and every day. I`ve come to
understand, if every person was made in His image, than I should be looking for
that image. Yes, it will take a lot of effort as we drive in big cities, as we
deal with people that are lost, and yet I must find a way to LOVE them. So, my
Fellow Servants of Christ please pray that we are able to reach those lost in
2012.

Moe,
Thank you and for the great work you are doing. May the strength and grace of
God be bestowed upon us all in the coming year as we navigate through the
difficult and challenging times preceding the soon coming of our beloved JESUS
CHRIST.
