Man, what a performance last night! No opening act, thankfully. PT
were on stage just after 9, and opened with Deadwing, from the new
album of the same name.
During the show, Steve Wilson showed why he's one of the best
musicians in the world, blistering guitar solos, and subtle work that
was nothing short of beautiful. The keyboards were a bit low in the
mix, but with the twin lead guitars, that's not surpising. Gavin on
drums had a great show, as well. The band were loose, and looked very
comfortable on stage. Great new version of 'Shesmovedon' from
Lightbulb Sun, which really rocked. Jhon Wesley sang 'Fadeaway'
from 'Up the Downstair', with the announcement of its imminent re-
release.
If you get a chance to see PT live, jump at it! You won't regret it
one bit, and if you're readfing this, you're presumably already a
fan. Live, though, these guys are just blazingly good! Doug.
