Thanks Des! It's good to be back. Has anybody checked out Peter's
Myspace site recently? He's doing pretty good over there!
I'm listening to the best CD right now -- "Songs From the Labyrinth,"
written by 17th century composer John Dowland and performed by Sting.
I've read some critical remarks about it, but I have to say it is by far
the most soothing music. The best part is, the vocals remind me heavily
of Peter's. All in all I'm thoroughly enjoying this CD. I'd recommend it
to anybody who digs Peter's music. :-)
Well, for better or worse my first attempt to publish a piece of my life
is available. "Finding Pecos: An Addict's Trip" is available here
<http://http://www.lulu.com/content/1367060> , and will be available
on Amazon and the like in a month or so. It's kind of scary, really, for
this book tells a lot about me! It tells the story of my drug
experiments which led to me selling everything I owned and going on a
spiritual quest of sorts to the middle of nowhere, where I found my way
back to the one true path in life. All in all I think it's a good read,
so
check it out if you like. Not to use this group for advertisements, mind
you, but I'm excited and wanted you guys to know! :-)
As for my budding business, Speir Publishing, I just got approved by the
Library of Congress to register books with them so we can get a
Preassigned Control Number for each book, meaning we can register each
book with the Library of Congress catalog! I'll be getting a stack of
ISBNs soon as well, so each book with be able to be distributed
worldwide. And, last but definitely not least, I've partnered with a
printer who is connected with the major book distributors, so the
middleman is definitely cut out, which is th best way, isn't it? I have
a couple of authors, one very established, wanting me to print their
books, so all is going very well! Now if I can get Peter to write his
life story....or maybe I can ghost write it? That'd be awesome!
Take care,
Paul
