I refer you to my other comments above. I don't think Peter has used
the Akai for a number of years - more particularly an analogue 8-
track and more recently a digital recorder - except when he comes
round to use my studio. As to the "American feel" - I think some of
Peter's music sounds particularly English. But apart from the Beach
boys/Brian Wilson, Peter does have a lot of other American
influences - Stevie Wonder, Little Feat, Steely Dan - even Joni
Mitchell which can be heard in some songs. The one I mentioned does
have a West Coast, warm, jangly sound.
