Hello Beamers

I've been looking in periodically and I've been alarmed by the
references to "tumbleweed". Things do happen exceedingly slowly, so I
thought I'd put in a quick blog, telling you what's going on.

Peter has the next album complete, but he has also been working on a
very exciting venture, which has meant the CD has been "put on the
back boiler" for now. He has been working with one of Brian Wilson's
erstwhile lyricists, composing what will hopefully be an EP (a short
CD) worth of material. This of course may flower into more extended
work, but we will have to wait and see. This could be released first -
before the next CD. But the next Peter Lacey CD is is definitely NOT
forgotten! When I spoke to Peter, he said that he does realise that
it's been a long time.....

Peter is well and currently on vacation with his family. A couple of
weeks ago we played a gig together with Peter Caruana and Ralph
Wiley, our usual cohorts. This was a private function so I didn't
alert everyone on this website. Peter had been suffering from the
flu' over the previous few weeks, so he wasn't feeling 100%. Disaster
struck when 3/4 of the way thro' his voice gave out. We struggled on,
but he is now resting his voice - hopefully on a beach somewhere.

Thank you all for your interest and especially to Des and Polly for
keeping the flame alight. If you have any enquiries, get back to me
here. I'm working on the studio for a while, trying to get new
software to behave properly on my PC.

Best wishes

Jon Fielder
