Paddy is always writing! The big question is whether or not what he writes
will ever get recorded and released... :)

As far as I'm aware the current situation is that the Sprouts owe EMI one
more album (Megahertz didn't count towards their contractual obligations)
and Paddy had written an album of soulful guitar based songs that he
intended to record to fulfil this obligation. The original intention was to
record this album earlier this year, and release it for the end of 2003/
beginning of 2004.

However I've heard that this plan has been scrapped, and that so far work
has not begun on recording the follow up to 'The Gunman...'. I'm afraid I
don't know when Paddy plans to get back in the studio, so don't hold your
breath for a new album anytime soon. Maybe next year sometime?
