I heard (from a reliable source) that Paddy and Thomas Dolby did meet up
last Summer to discuss working together, and that Paddy had - at that
time - two albums worth of material that he was interested in doing
something with. However this was obviously before the full extent of
Paddy's hearing problems became apparent, which made the recording of
the acoustic disc such a (literal) pain for him. I think Paddy's
refusal to do interviews this time was partly due to his health
problems, and partly to do with his being sick of the whole project - he
only expected to spend a few months on the acoustic tracks, but ended up
spending around a year on them.
I don't know if Paddy and Thomas are still planning to work together or
not. It wouldn't surprise me if his hearing problems have led him to
put the whole idea on the back burner.

edition yet?
as far as i'm aware, these new recordings are a one off. no
plans to
record more or tour. i think everyone knows this deep down. they
couldn't even get paddy out for interviews this time.
