Finally bought CD.
I'm impressed with the acoustic versions. It's actually better than if they
recorded a sequel to the album. As paddy's voice has gotten deeper, it
seems to have added a different perspective to the songs. When Love Breaks
Down doesn't have the bitterness the original had, it now seems like a
lament. Just the bittersweet taste of regret.
Maybe, if there is to be another album (solo or otherwise), he should do
what Brian Eno did on Another Day On Earth and focus on the voice; use it as
an instrument and see how he could experiment with it.
