This group was formed initially for the free distribution of the ProjectSMiLE CD-Rom.

This is NOT an Audio CD. It is an interactive CD that addresses SMiLE as a subject of study -- a historical perspective on the music, its creator and its time. Supported by facts, dates, biographical information and speculative writing, it is THE tool for exploring SMiLE -- what it was, what it might have been and what it became!

As of the 24th February 2006, we only support the distribution of ProjectSMiLE V2.1 via Bittorrent. Please click on the torrent file in the 'V2.1 Bittorrent' folder in the 'Files' section of the Group.

We have chosen to torrent ProjectSMiLE in ISO form. Once downloaded, in order to use the disc as it was meant to be used, you'll need to use your burning program to "unbundle" the ISO back to data files.

The ProjectSMiLE mainpage image of Brian was manipulated by Nick Thomas at thehipster.co.uk/ from an original photograph by Guy Webster. It is in this spirit of bon homage that we use it here. Good work, Nick!
