Hi, Renata,
I thought that you might want sheet music, and the web
site I mentioned, www.sheetmusicplus.com has the
Prokofiev 8th Sonata. It is included with the 9th
Sonata in "Prokofiev Piano Solos, Volume 7." Have you
tried looking there? There are probably other sources
as well.
Renata is the name of the main character in
Prokofiev's opera L'Ange de Feu (in French), which is
called either The Flaming Angel or The Fiery Angel in
English. She is one of the stranger women in all of
opera! There is a wonderful CD of the opera conducted
by Gergiev, and there were (or still are perhaps)
videos available of the production. If you are at all
familiar with Prokofiev's 3rd Symphony you know some
of the music from the opera, as he used material from
the opera for the symphony.
Good luck in finding your sheet music!
