Re: [Quadraphonic Quad] cd-r trading?

Man, it has all changed. Didn't you hear? It's over. We won.

With DD EX, DTS, DVD-A, SACD there's so much great new multi channel
stuff.

And with the perfection of PL II, everything is now quad!

I have many "stereo" items in my collection which decode in PLII
into much more spacious and multichannel ambiance than many many
many of my old discrete quad recordings.

Budget a month to play around with PLII, learning how to work the
settings, and believe me. You will be floored. Try running different
stuff through it to see what you can hear. Prepare to be amazed. And
you can get in cheap, like the amp I got for $167 with DTS, DD EX
and PLII.

I have fun running old "stereo" 8-tracks tapes through it, like
Synergy, Nektar, and ELP _Brain Salad Surgery_ just to see the looks
on people's faces. OK OK os that's sort of cheating since even
though they are on 8-track, the recordings are encoded in old quad,
but still.

Many regular stereo recordings "decode" even better than that. Try
Zappas _Uncle Meat_ on vinyl through PLII some time if you want your
socks knocked off. Or some old Kraftwerk. And about 85% of most
classical recordings. And any "live in concert" recording. It has
brought my old cassette collection back to life.

It's really a revolutionary explosion.
