Salamu,
A great resource for finding quad tapes is www.ebay.com. It is free to sign
up, if you aren't a memeber already. I have found quad tapes just going to the
Salvation Army or Goodwill type thrift stores. Flea markets are also another
way. Can't help too much with technical info on the Technics, but try the web.
Some of the quad pages out there list different models. A lot of those websites
also has contact info to email them, maybe they can help you. try
www.quadraphonicquad.com. Tab's quadraphonic page is also another (put that in
Google). There are some great quad techies out there, just start looking!

Salamu alikum,
Does anybody know if the TECHNICS RS-855US 8 TRACK 4-CHL TAPE DECK is
a quad player? How does everybody generally locate quad tapes? Out
of the 100 or so 8 track tapes I have not one is quad. I have about
100 blank tapes too. My better players are the JVC and the technics.
Does anybody have any suggestions for 8-track decks/players they like
for recording music on blank 8-track cartridges?
