I've also found the PLII will do a DAMN good job at decoding SQ encoded
CD's!

In my experience it depends on the recording, although in general usually PLII is better than either SQ or QS for decoding a regular stereo recording to try to...

Qsd-1 (qs) 80% (if not more) of the time. Tate (sq) 20%. Qs has a much smoother decoding process and more enveloping sound giving the feel of a very wide...
