The list is dedicated to quartet string players.
It is the proper medium to discuss playing techniques, repertoire, individual instrument playing questions (questions on playing the violin, viola, cello ), instrument selection, quartet management, and whatever else pertains to quartet playing. There is not very much literature on quartet playing that I feel this list is long overdue, and my hopes are that it will attract beginning to profesional string players to share their wisdom, and create a quartet players' community, with interested people worldwide sharing their ideas, experiences, happy and sad moments. I wish everybody to enjoy themselves, BUT please refrain from using insults, bad behavior, we want everybody to have fun and be informed... and maybe get to be a close knit family :)
