I don't know if there are many people posting on
this sight that aren't from Seattle, but I'm one of
them. I became a Rail fan after seeing a video on M-Tv
around 1984, I think it was 1-2-3-4. After that I rushed
and bought the Ep as well as Arrival, I still have
them and Rail III and listen to them constantly.

It was either late 1984 or early 1985, I was 14
or 15 when they came to my home town of Kearns, Utah
(a suburb of Salt Lake City) to play a show at a
small all ages dance club. Me and my friend walked to
the show, it was only a couple of blocks away, and as
soon as we walked out his front door, every "rocker"
in the neighborhood was walkin to the show as well.
We got to the club and there was a long line of
people at the door waiting to get in, finally they
opened the doors and we all rushed to the stage to get
as close as we could. I remember the opening band
was a local band called Stryder (not to be confused
with Stryper). They were pretty good but we couldn't
wait for Rail to get on.

Finally Rail hit the
stage and the place went wild, I couldn't believe I
only had to pay $5 to see such an awesome band. I
thought they were going to be the next Zeppelin or
someone huge like that and I would be able to boast how I
saw them back in their club days. ( I still wonder
why they didn't make it that big, they blew away most
other 80's metal bands). I wish I had the memories like
alot of you who knew them back in the Roller Rink days
that everyone talks about, but at least I have this
one of when they came to my town. Every now and then
I run into an old friend of mine from those days
and talk about the Rail show, even though I saw just
about every major metal band in the 80's, that small
club Rail show will always be one of the best. They
still have alot of fans here in Salt Lake, I would love
to be able to see them again, even if I have to go
to Seattle to do it.

I stumbled onto the
Rail website a couple of days ago and immediately
ordered the new arrival cd, I can't wait to hear the
unreleased songs and see the footage.

It's nice to
see theese guys are still rockin' and I wish them
success in the future.
