I want to thank everyone that supported the efforts of the Northwest
Rockers to the Rescue. We raised over $7,400 for the Station Family
Fund through our raffle and T-Shirt sale. The Station Family Fund
rose out of the ashes of the worst music related tragedy in US
history when 100 people perished in a nightclub fire in Warwick
Rhode Island February 20th 2003. 100 children lost one or both
parents on that tragic evening. 200 survivors from the fire were
injured and most of those received debilitating burns over some part
of their bodies. Only 15 of the survivors have qualified for some
form of disability and the money raised by Northwest Rockers to the
Rescue comes at a time when all local, state and federal assistance
has dried up. I started Northwest Rockers to the Rescue because of
a conversation my friend had with his 12 year old son. Basic story
was if the concert would have been held in my home town, I would
have been there and I too or many people I know could have been a
victim. I am proud of our success and very thankful to have been a
part of such a worthwhile event. Our fundraising efforts are not
stopping as the Northwest Rockers to the Rescue will continue to
help the families and survivors. If anyone is interested, I have 35
T-shirts for sale for $20.00 each, size XL. 100% of all proceeds
will go to the Station Family Fund.
Congratulations to Keri Olson from Geyser Montana for winning the
Autographed Great White guitar. 2nd prize winner for the 2 tickets
to Rockin' the Rivers 2005 is Win Bock from Eureka Montana and the
3rd prize winner for the $100.00 gift certificate from Recorded
Memories is David Graf from Hayden Idaho.
