They Played in Tempe Az. in 2003/Controversy   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #333 of 694 |

Greetings All:
I think the guys did play in Tempe around the time of the Seattle
Mariners spring training 2003. Thats pretty close to Phoenix. I'm
with
the Commish: Get to Spokane.
How about some controversy? I think the Queensryche song Queen of the
Reich and their early material owes a lot of debt to certain RAIL
songs (Like the riff on Gangbusters) that came out a whole lot
earlier. Just listen to the first ep and the Warning and draw your
own
conclusions. Guitar lessons form Rick, same vocal coach. This is not
a
dig against the QR guys ( I like them too), but I think there are
some
obvious influences. After all what is the most sincere form of
flattery?

Always good to give credit to musicians and their contributions. No controversy here though, because all of us musicians get ideas from the world around us....
