I was in a band called Banshee from Fort Wayne Indiana. In 1982 or
1983 we played with Rail at "The Red Barn" or "Molly Browns" in
Montana. I don't remember what club it was. Our lighting guy found
the web site and got me all the CDs. I now own a guitar store and use
Rail riffs to demo guitars all the time. In fact my employs know the
riffs and have never herd the songs until today. Rail should have had
more success than they did, I don't know why they didn't get it.
Banshee was like Rail but for the mid west. Huge regional following
played all the big shows. We spent a cold winter out west trying to
expand our fan base. Infect I think Concerts west booked the deal.
All we herd about was Rail, they was everything we were told they
would be. They were very nice and easy to work with. In fact the
front of house engineer told us we had to use there FX rack and not
to touch anything. We had some real nice Lexicon Primetimes, White
EQs and an Eventide Harmonizer. After seeing our FX the sound guy
wanted to use some of our stuff. Rail put on a great show. After that
show Banshee started playing Hello to open shows with. After Banshee
broke up they got back together for a reunion show that was voided by
a fan. Of course we opened with "Hello." I have a video if any one is
interested in seeing it. This got way to long. I just wanted to say
thanks to a great band.
