Re: Which Accoustic Is Best

I have a Takamine acoustic electric. Forgive me for not including the model as I
am lazy and don't feel like going upstairs to check the model number. I bought
my Takamine in the mid 1980s. The problem I have with it is that the pickup is
like a microphone. When I play live with a PA there is a phasing problem between
the microphone for my vocals and the microphone qualities of the Takamine's
guitar pickup. At first, I thought it was a loose cable or something. Then I
figured it out because it sounds like two microphones put together incorrectly
and there is this out of phase thing going on.
I have seen devices on on-line catalogs that can correct the problem. I will
have to look and see if there is anything available now.
I could have a new pickup put into the guitar.
