have been waiting to hear that the girls were coming to Calgary!
Between reading your message and writing this reply, I nipped across
to the Jack Singer Concert Hall and picked up a pair of floor
tickets (Orchestra, Row CC - a bit far back but in the centre at
least - and the sound is awesome in the Jack Singer!!). Thank-you,
thank-you and thank-you !!! I would never have thought of searching
for Christmas show tickets this early!! I'll have to give
KimberleyW heck - for two years now she's been sending me notices of
every remotely-celtic-related act that's played Alberta and then
when the ULTIMATE concert is announced, I get the news in the
chatroom! Zowie !! How will I sleep tonight!! :-) Life is good.

I have been flying a lot lately, I'm working on getting my
instrument rating and that's a lot of flying - but I ran out of
funds recently so the instructor recommended I buy some hardware and
software and set up a simulator at home so I can practice on my
computer until I get the procedures down pat and then finish up
later in the year in the plane. Did you hear that I went flying
with Jeff, Abe and Triona just before Christmas? We met at the
airport and did a night flight around the City (Calgary) and then
they came back to our place for an evening of Rankin music, drinks
and conversation. We had a great time - it would be nice to repeat
it sometime when you and the family are out (standing invitation if
you folks are ever out this way). Yes, how about those Flames? The
city is going nuts - there aren't a lot of us oldtimers around who
remember the previous Stanley Cup in 89! Well, I better scat -
