HENRY ROLLINS COMES TO BALTIMORE TO BENEFIT UBSPI ON OCTOBER 11
BALTIMORE, MD – University of Baltimore Students for Public Interest
Law (UBSPI) announces the return of Henry Rollins to Baltimore for a
spoken-word fundraiser performance at 8:00 pm on October 11 at the
Lyric Opera House. Tickets are available through www.tickets.com,
at 866-597-4200, at the Lyric box office, and at Atomic Books in
Hampden.
Rollins has traveled all over the world performing spoken word shows
to great acclaim. As the Chicago Tribune noted, "Conventional
wisdom maintains that people mellow with age. Somebody obviously
forgot to tell Henry Rollins." The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY
added, "His passionate, intelligent and humorous takes on life leave
audiences entertained, moved and enlightened." The Columbus Dispatch
agreed, asserting that "Henry Rollins has set forth an 11th
commandment: Thou shalt not bore… former punk rocker and Black Flag
frontman honored that commandment, leavening political analysis with
self-deprecating humor."
The performance on October 11 benefits UBSPI, an organization at the
University of Baltimore School of Law that provides summer stipends
for law students who work in public interest jobs that help the poor
and underrepresented gain equal access to the justice system.
