Well I am certainly glad that someone who is in a position to do so is actively
working at keeping Buddy's name alive. Sounds like he married the wrong gal to
me ....ooops ..... here comes that Possee again .... hi ho Silver away .....

I was especially struck by the following line in the article announcing it:
"Since moving back to Lubbock Peggy Sue’s tireless efforts to keep
Buddy’s music and memory alive helped lead to the development of the
Buddy Holly Centre which draws thousands of fans from around the world."
Granted, Arlington's a hop, skip and Texas spit down the road from Lubbock, but
I don't remember Peggy Sue being quite that central to the founding of the
Centre. Maybe I'm suffering from Old-Timer's Disease. But, as Jesus once said,
"He who exalts himself will be humbled." I think we'll hear a lot more about
this story in days to come.
