Re: [ray_conniff] Jackie Allen 1925-2009

Such sad news Manfred. Always enjoyed her wonderful high sound, and she always
looked like she was enjoying herself and having so much fun in the videos and
photos.

Condolences to her family
Robert

Jackie Allen's grandson made a comment on the video of "Joy to the World". He
wrote, "The lady in the front row on the left with the high notes is named
Jackie Allen. She was my grandma, she passed away about 4 weeks ago at the age
of 83 R.I.P." Jackie added class to many of Ray's recordings. She could sing the
highest notes without sounding sharp or ear-piercing. I met her a couple of
times in the UK and in Germany. She will always be remembered by me not only as
a great artist but also as a wonderful, warm person. - Manfred
