Dearest record-collectors,
finally it’s done! My last private saleslist with 8500
records.

As you know, with the received money, three very
nice-made book-releases are planned for end of this
year besides the labelwork.
1. Record-price-guide and discography to German Punk
and Wave 1976-89 (4,000 items, more than 1,000 7” and
1000 tapes with descriptions)
2. Record-price-guide and discography to Avantgarde
and Industrial / Experimental (around 10,000 items
from late 50’s till late nineties)
3. Record-price-guide and discography to
Minimalelectronics and Wave (around 10,000 items from
mid 70’s till early nineties )
The three books are planned to be accompanied with
three CD-Rom’s full of pictures of rare vinyl /
tape-material. This will be done instead of the
planned “book of rare cover art” as announced in my
last newslist
Some reasons as the motivation for the books.
I don’t want to be a seen as a price- or marketmaker.
I just think after this ebay-phenomenom and those
incredible high (or sometimes low) prices achieved on
some items it has become important to have some
average price orientation where many people think
about buying (the classic collector) and selling
(resellers) an item and not only one person at one
certain time as it is on ebay and, most of all, to
have a great overview / almanach (discography) about
those interesting musical directions which are
insufficiently covered in the regular Rock and Pop –
Guides. And there will be enough work left for further
editions, since there is always more to list and
archive.

But enough of previews

Here are the facts for the sale and the condition. It
is actually similar to the last saleslist

1. The list is ready for you to be downloaded as a
88 PDF-file with 500k to be opened with acrobat reader
(this could take up to one minute) on

2. If you don’t like to receive any mails from me
concerning records, please let me know so that I can
immediately take you out of my mailinglist or
unsubscribe if you are already registered at my
record-price-guide-yahoogroup.
3. I will collect orders for two weeks from now
on, meaning there will be NO “first come first
choice”, meaning I don’t care if you order immediately
or in 13 days and 23 hours. You will have the same
chances for getting items.
4. Why?: I want a fair distribution of my
collection to all collectors that are interested: this
means, if you order 10 items which are only ordered by
you, you will get all 10 items. If you order 10 items
which are ordered 50 times including other orders, I
will only be able to provide you with one fifth of
your order
5. If you have problems with the PDF, please ask a
friend who has Acrobat Reader to open and save it, if
you are getting desperate, ask me to send it
differently
6. The list is divided in 6 sections as the last
one: 1. German Wave / Punk (500 items), 2. Indie /
Punk / Britpop (1500 items) 3. Industrial /
Avantgarde / Jazz (2000 items) 4. Progressive /
Krautrock / Rock (700) 5. Techno / Dance / 80’s Pop
(1400) 6. Wave / Minimal Electronic / Gothik (2000)
7. Excuse all my writing-mistakes which could
irritate you (such as TickTack instead of ZickZack
)
8. Explanations to the single rows are not needed
at this point, first row gives the explanantion. Feel
free to ask if you need more information on the record
such as label, year, condition
9. Some expensive articles are marked in the last
row with a price in a yellow dot. This means, those
are my treasures and this is a minimum-price I want
for them. So they are offer-records and you need to
make an offer equal or above the given price in order
to convince me of selling them to you and not selling
them on the great Ebay-Market where I can probably
obtain even higher amounts of money for them. If you
think they are too high priced, then don’t tell me,
because I was a passionate collector, too, and spent
also high amounts on my records and travelled already
10 times around the world to pick up and buy tons of
records.
10. If the description is not sufficient or you need a
picture, feel free to ask for a picture of the item,
since I have half of the items already scanned or
photographed and if not, then I will do this for you
anyway (the upload of the pictures to my site
www.record-price-guide.com take longer than expected.
It is very very time intensive to photograph and also
implement them into the database and I didn’t want to
wait for the list till I have done this next journey.
11. If you wonder why prices differ from my page then
its because my site is a priceguide which I tried to
update but haven’t been able to for the last 12
months, but prices do change so fast as a stockmarket
and that’s why many articles on my portal are not up
to date and need to be updated which I will do in my
next step after providing the pictures online.
12. Conditions are mostly m/m meaning better then very
good and very good is mostly used to describe records
which have slight colour peel offs on the cover or
some surfacemarks which are not audible on the record.
If my records do have those conditions, it is told
with a vg, if they have some more marks then its vg-
or g. However if you have a problem with receiving an
item and not in an expected condition, there is a full
money back guarantee given on my site if its not done
by the mail without secured delivery.
13. If you want it secured or via airmail, please
expect high postage rates, to avoid this and trusting
the postal service I prefer shipping surface but this
usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks if outside Europe
so you definitely need patience, if you want it
secured no problem, but then you also need to pay for
them. I am not responsible for losses if not delivered
secured
14. You can pay via paypal in Euro if you want, if you
want to pay in Dollar go ahead, but then add 10% to
the final sum, since the dollar exchange rate is weak
as is the dollar currency at the moment. Orders with
paypal-payments will only be delivered secured. Why:
because it is very easy to make a complaint on the
buyerside, get a money return from paypal and its my
obligation to show paypal the receipt for secured
shipping and if I cannot provide this, I lost the
money and the records which I don’t like.
15. Concerning discounts: I am not a professional
dealer and I am tearing my private collection apart
and will probably end with ¾ of my collection but torn
apart into pieces with 20 years of collecting for the
“perfect collection” to be destroyed. So please don’t
ask for discounts, it is hard enough for me to already
tear from those things (as it was in my first list,
but I know you understand what I mean as a collector).
If you have made a nice order and if you are a nice
person I will include some present (vinyl, tape, Mag…)
anyway.
16. If, after 4 weeks, my doubles or “don’t wants” are
not sold, they will be sold on ebay and probably will
send out a final fourth list in late September /
Beginning of Oktober (not sure yet)
17. If you wonder what I want to do with the money
from your orders. Pay off my debths and have a
fundament for my upcoming labelwork and my “books (see
above) which I am also working on and planning to
release in the near future and which sounds reasonable
after having so many photos of rare records and also I
need to pay the recording studio, since they
digitalise all my tapes to CD.
18. So now, I will leave you alone with my list, have
fun, enjoy, if you have no money to order, feel free
to use it as a price-orientation for later orders at
other people, print it out and read it on the toilet
or as a “good-night-literature”
