I just found more info on Auntie Em's Kitchen. The official webpage
for the place is
here "http://www.nelanet.org/businessfinder/cateringdining/auntieems.h
tm"
I do not know for sure about wheter or not this Terri Wahl was in
the Red Aunts. The article is as follows:
9. AUNTIE EM'S KITCHEN HAS NEW OWNERS!
Terri Wahl is one of the two new owners of Auntie Em's Kitchen on
Eagle Rock
Boulevard. She and her partner Barbara bought the restaurant about two
months ago and have been fixing it up visually and introducing their
new and
exciting food to a very welcoming Eagle Rock.
Terri and Barbara hail from Burbank (although Terri now lives in Eagle
Rock), where they operated a catering company, which they've moved to
our
town. The various Burbank television and movie studios are their
clients,
among many others, so this should really help put Eagle Rock on the
map!
They have upgraded the menu with yummy new sandwiches (Roasted Veggie
Sandwich on a rosemary roll, Cajun Chicken Sandwich, Avocado,
Cucumber and
Sprouts, Turkey Meatloaf, Chicken and Pesto, and a very popular BBQ
Pulled
Pork Sandwich). They make chili and four soups from scratch daily,
and have
a wonderful selection of sweets -- Apple Raspberry Crumble w/Fresh
Whipped
Cream, Pecan Bars Dipped in Chocolate, Chocolate Espresso Brownies,
and much
more.
They recently replaced all the graffiti-etched windows, and they
painted the
building a wonderful 1950's looking red. They put flood lights
outside to
help keep the area neat and clean. Terri and Barbara recently began
serving
breakfast, and weekdays feature such items as Fresh Baked Scones,
Muffins,
Quiche, Bagels, Gourmet Coffee and Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice. They
provide hot breakfasts on Saturdays, offering such fantastic items as
open-faced breakfast sandwiches like Roasted Veggies topped
w/Scrambled Eggs
and Provolone Cheese on Grilled Country Bread, Chicken Tequila Sausage
topped w/Scrambled Eggs and Provolone Cheese on Country Bread, Bread
Pudding
French Toast, Fresh-Squeezed Orange Juice. Gourmet Coffee, and more.
Every single thing in their shop is homemade. All of their bread is
delivered daily from an artisan bread maker and La Brea Bakery. They
use
organic veggies and fruits when available, and only the best
ingredients.
[Yum -- I'm gettin' hungry.]
