The Winters Brothers Band – SouthWest Stampede

Review by Jens and George

This CD is an event and will be recognized as one. Matured for a long time
like good old Tennessee whiskey, without the pressure of a record company,
without the standard top ten billboard country sound, handmade like in the
good old days but sounding as up-to-date as can be.
Recorded in Jamie Laritz' studio in Nashville for SouthStar Records,
produced by Dennis Wínters and Jamie Laritz. Finally a CD again that will
give
you goose bumps..

From the first beat, an album with a constant high level will grab your
attention -
an album that brings the art back into music. A pumping bass, vibrant
drums,
wonderful vocals, fantastic guitars -
hear the joy of playing music that hasn't lost a thing during the years.
Fiddle (not really a country fiddle, more a celtic violin) , saxophone and
flute
will tell you musical stories, let the music become pictures before your
inner eye,
will make your eyes hear and your ears see.

The album starts with „Stampede“, tells you "Old Stories" takes a "Ride"
with
"Outlaws And Law men", is jamming with the "Devil After My Soul" and "My
Marie",
"Keep On Runnin" thru "Whiskey Creek Ditty" where "A Gun Don't Mind" gives
you
a "Caution To The Wind" and at the end, the circle will close with a
beautiful long
"Stampede Jam" that will make the hearts of Southern jam rock fans beat
faster...
This live jam starts with an impressive acoustic guitar, drums and bass
will follow,
the lead guitar will pick up the theme and will carry you away.
This timeless album will take you back to the heyday of Southern jamming -
you will drift away..

It sure was a long wait, but it was well worth it!!
„Close your eyes and go back in time ….“ says a line in a song, so lean
back and
enjoy this wonderful and one-of-a-kind CD! Music you've never heard
before.

Listen to it again and again, take your time enjoying this masterpiece.
Put on your
earphones, turn off the light and discover new things each and every time.

An album for the history books, the Sergeant Pepper of Southern jam
rock.
