Here's the story. <br>This is part 1.
<br><br>First meeting. During soundcheck we were seated in the
front row. First Peter and Mike came out. They played 2
instrumentals. One being Take 7 from the last fanclub 45. Then
the moment I was waiting for. Michael walks out on
stage. My best friend was nudging me with here elbow.
Like Oh my god he's here. First he glanced down at
everyone including me. Eye Contact. I wanted to drop. My
nerves were so bad. Then he said, "Hello. And they
played Parakeet, Low Dessert and Most of Lotus.
Soundcheck was finished. They leave the stage. Everyone
stands up. Around 17 of us. Then my best friend says
there's Michael. He had come out to meet us. I was
shaking. So I went up to him. I shook his hand. And all I
got out was I'm a big fan. He then said. Oh I like
your shirt. Then we gathered around him and he asked
us all if we were proud of the Sixth Sense(the
movie). Michael said he really liked the Sixth Sense. He
saw it twice. And he said it's so good you just have
to see it. Everyone had saw it. Because it was
filmed in Philadelphia and that's where this
amphitheater is acrossed from. It's on the waterfront in
Camden, NJ but directly acrossed the water is Philly. And
he asked us if anyone actually lived in Camden. No
one did because Camden NJ is a very violent town.
<br><br>Another friend of mine gave him an orange crush t-shirt.
And he had a story about the shirt in an instant. I
can't remember what he said. <br>I also met Mike, Peter
and Bertis. They are all really nice guys. In my
picture with Mike he put his arm around me. Peter just
stood with me and my other friend. I'll post those
pictures. <br>Bertis is really nice. He asked my best
friend and I if we saw R.E.M. before. We told him yes.
Three times on the monster tour when they played
Philly. <br>I shook Peter's hand and I couldn't speak. I
was too nervous. He said, "Hi, I'm Peter Buck. As if
I didn't know.
