Well according to the articles at the Nicksfix, Stevie will be
releasing a new Best Of album to promote the upcoming Australian
tour. She says there won't be anything new on it, as the only thing
she's written since 2003 is a song about New Orleans.
My guess is that the album will obviously be available in Australia
and probably as an import here.

Al and all,
I just read one of the articles and it stated Stevie will be working
on a DVD while in Australia! Here's part of the article:
The first is at Rod Laver Arena on February 18 where Nicks will be
accompanied by the wonderful Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in a
magical night to be filmed for a DVD. The marriage of Nicks' songs
with full orchestral backing promises to be an incredible
experience. She is thrilled to be working with the world-renowned
MSO and has five days of rehearsals planned to ensure the concert –
and the resulting DVD – will be one of the highlights of her
illustrious career.

I didn't finish reading all the articles obviously, because this was
what I was looking for but didn't catch. After I read that the
promoter was the same that brought KISS and Meat Loaf to work with
the symphony, I figured that there would be a CD/DVD release down
the road. Both KISS and Meat Loaf released their shows with the
symphony. Yes, they would be a worldwide release, it would also be
Stevie's first ever live album. I thought the KISS album worked very
well, the Meat Loaf album didn't work out as well. Meat's songs are
perfect for orchestrations, but Meat has changed the way he sings
the songs now so that he is a bit behind the band and therefore
behind the orchestra. The result is jarring.
I think Stevie's songs will work out VERY well. Obviously "Beauty &
The Beast" will be one of the songs with the symphony, and since it
was recorded with an orchestra originally and Stevie has performed
it on stage with an orchestra before, that will work very well. "Has
Anyone" will most likely be included too. But then depending on who
is arranging the songs for the orchestra we could get some
surprises, "Landslide" would be breathtaking, "Rhiannon" would be
cool, and although I doubt she'd do it, "Sara" would be incredible
as well.
My guess is the "Best Of" album will be an Australian only release,
that you will be able to order online at Amazon or any other online
store. You could probably find it at the time of it's release at any
of the larger stores out there (Best Buy, Media Play etc). The
symphony DVD would be a worldwide deal. If it's like the others done
down there, the show will be recorded in February with a late
Summer, early Fall 2006 release.
