Stevie Nicks is a hard act to follow

.SUPERSTAR Stevie Nicks will not allow Lindsay Lohan to play her in a planned
Fleetwood Mac biopic.
"Lindsay cannot be me until she gets her life together," Nicks, 61, told the
Sunday Herald Sun. "If I were to do a movie, or allow a movie about my life,
Lindsay Lohan is not the person I would pick to do it.
"She has got completely off track. She has a bad reputation. She is a party
girl.
"I would want somebody who is an excellent actress and dedicated to their
craft."
Fleetwood Mac is swamped by movie offers and Nicks has picked the actor to play
her.
"I want Reese Witherspoon to play me," Nick said. "Reese knows. She would play
Stevie Nicks really well."
Nicks can relate to the traps snaring Hollywood's new brat pack.
She once released a solo album, Trouble In Shangri La, about the perils of
celebrity and fame.
"I look at Miley Cyrus and wonder how she can keep it up because she is
everything," Nicks said. "She is a singer, an actress, a dancer, a song writer.
She is very famous. And she's only 16."
Nicks knows Miley's father, singer-actor Billy Ray Cyrus, keeps his daughter on
track.
"He's a good old boy. He's tough as nails underneath that sweet smile," she
said.
Nicks said Paris Hilton should not be rated alongside Cyrus, Lohan or Britney
Spears.
"Paris is an heiress. She has so much money, she never has to work a day in her
life," Nicks said.
"But she has purposely chosen to build an empire. So God bless her."
But Nicks gave her strongest support to Spears.
"I love Britney and I want the best for her," Nicks said. "She has got her life
back and she has two boys who need her.
"But Britney has her body back, her beauty back and, hopefully, she will get her
power back."
Fleetwood Mac performs at Rod Laver Arena on December 1. Tickets go on sale on
September 4.
mA 40TH anniversary edition of Frank Sinatra's classic album, My Way, will be
released in October.
"There's simply no one like Frank Sinatra. His music is one of the reasons I got
into this business," Universal Music chairman Lucian Grainge said. "Now we plan
to bring it alive for a whole new generation of fans."

That is great that you have been to as many concerts as you have for Fleetwood
Mac and Stevie Nicks.
Really sweet how you fell asleep to Rumours being played at night :-)
I am into the more classical types of music.
Always have been.
Today's music is not for me.
Just very dance type of thing.
Shrugs.
Doesn't connect with me!
I tell all the young ones at work about FM and SN because the music they produce
should be known to all ages!

By the way I'm 31 years old, and people are floored when I tell people I've seen
Stevie Nicks 4 times, and Fleetwood Mac 2 times. People are like, your too young
to be into them. I talk music at work with this guy, whoi's like my Dad's age,
and it baffles me, when he hasn't listen to this, or that in years. I'm like,
"Get that stuff back out". People are so caught in today's times, and "How Your
Supposed Be", they forget to take a step back, and "really" live. I almost have
to hold their hand, and walk back there. I also can't stand people, who are not
into music. Drives me nuts. Music helps me excape. Like my boyfriend's Dad, he's
CLUELESS. He wasn't into music, when it was his time. I don't understand people
like that. I also don't understand the people (boyfriend's mom), who claim their
into music, but there into music that "Your supposed to like" at their age, like
Stig Rossen (sp?). Sorry, if your a fan. That drives me nuts. I like people
around me that dig a little deeaper, and i can always spot those who don't. Just
my thoughts, but yes, I've been to every Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac concert in
Ohio and Pittsburgh in these last few years. I grew up with music always being
played in my house by my Dad, who was a huge Classic Rock fan. I remember
falling asleep to the, "Rumours" record being played downstairs. Well, that's a
little bit of info. on where I'm coming from. Welcome again. More later. Tammie
P.S. I check daily, so feel free to chat.

I know. It's gonna bug me, until Sunday. There's also no World
Turning, or Silver Springs. I can deal with the last two left off,
but Rhiannon!?! That's crazy. I'm not getting too excited, because
like I said, it was a rumour of the setlist, that everyone's been
posting, that supposedly came from a inside source, so we well see.
I'll see Sunday. I'll write it all down, and post. More later. Tammie
P.S. I wonder, if that T-shirt contest winner will have their shirt
available to buy? How is that gonna work, etc.?

can they only consider not to play it???? But anyway I'm sure they'll
be great. Whatever they'll play...

Pick up the March issues of O, and RollingStone. The O magazine
(Oprah's), has a short little article on what Stevie is listening to,
and a nice pic. of Stevie in her heyday. Back in Bella Donna days. With
the white wispy sleeves. Love the pic. As for the Rollingstone, please
check first that it's the March issue. I can't buy it at my grocery
store, so that's a trip to Borders. Let me know, if I'm wrong. Tammie
I've been seeing the 2009 Setlist, which supposedly has been leaked
out, on verious webpages. Well, I look at that, and don't get too
excited, because it may not be correct, etc. I'm going to the first
show, so I'll besure to write it all down. Anyway, from what people

...where's Rhiannon, and Silver Springs!!! I can maybe understand, if
Silver Springs is left off, but Rhiannon!?! That's sound wrong to me.
Now I will take Storms and Sara, two songs I personally have not seen
live, if there's only, so much room, but I find it odd, No
Rhiannon!?! I know, I'm freaking out, but I'm just curious, and
Sunday can't come soon enough. Just my thoughts, Tammie.
I was really disappointed in this one. I thought there was going to be
alot of Stevie mentions, and the Sheryl Crow joining FM, and not
joining FM, but there was nothing. They mention Stevie in name, and
that's it. Maybe there was reasons behind that. Hmmm...
Just thinking out loud. Tammie

I can't wait!!! Mick Fleetwood confirmed it in a interview. This is a
dream come true. Now, if I can get Angel, and Sister's of the Moon.
I'll finally get to her Sara. I missed out on this last tour, because I
was on bedrest with twins. I saw Fleetwood Mac on their first leg of
the Say You Will Tour, but missed the second leg, when they played
Sara. I had fifth row tickets too, and couldn't go. I cried that night.
No joking. I was, so upset that night. Well, Storms in the setlist, and
Sara, it's all better now!!! Tammie

It has come to my attention that Grouply is back in action again. I
want to remind all members of just what Grouply wants and is. Grouply
is a supposed email service, that reputes to allow you to have all
your group mail in one place. What they don't tell you until you join
is that they want you to give them your passwords and usernames so
that they can gain access to the group. Once in the group they have
complete access to the members database as well as the owners
settings and they can change the group purpose or make themselves
owners or mods at will and there is nothing that can be done about
it. Also once you join Grouply, they begin to spam the group with
invites to join them in your name. From what I've heard from other
groups that spam can be anything from Porn to virus laden mail. When
you first join Grouply you are given an @grouply.com email addy, then
you are allowed to go back to your original email address making it
almost impossible to find out who joined and sent the original
invite. The only way to find out is to see the original email with
the person's name or user name on it, then and only then can they be
removed and banned from the group. I have opted our group out of
Grouply some time ago but with this fresh initiative against Yahoo,
MSN and Google groups I felt that for the newer members of our group
that the owners and mods stance on Grouply is that any member joining
Grouply will be removed and banned immediately without any chance of
rejoining the group.
According to Grouply any attempt by the group owners to block members
joining them will not be welcome.
I want to remind you that anyone joining Grouply and giving them your
username and password is not only in breach of group policy but also
in breach of Yahoo's Terms of Service in regards to group security.
So be a leader not a follower and don't let Grouply and their spam
wielding minions coerce you into joining.
