Hey again, some more bones stuff for y'all.

First of all, I recently got some very nice bones by Clif Ervin. The
yellow cedar pair is subtle and variable, not too loud. The teak
pair is louder and more solid, but not as variable. Here's a nice
recording of Clif playing with banjo player Dan Gellert:

See my link page for more details:

I've added a few little things to my webpage (but more is coming).
Here's a 2003 recording of me with The Tanglers (2.4 megs):

And one from just the other day, just a social music get-together,
recorded a bit too distantly, but it's not too bad (5.4 megs):

And just for fun, I found an old wind-up minstrel bones player on the
web. It sold for $37,500:

Anyone find anything else fun web trawling?

Great find on the minstrel toy. Check out patents: (www.uspto.gov) 1,570,268 * 1,332,732 6,273,781 Louis Marx, do a patent search on "in/(louis and marx)",...

... For some reason the patents won't display for me, some plug-in issue I guess.... But the Secor toy I linked to is from the 1860s, some 60 years before Marx...
