Rhythmxchange
July 7, 2004
We are so touched by the comments, love and support and desire to
work things out to make -hese events safe and fun.
Penny and I would like to thank all of you who were present at the
core meeting for the continuance of Rhythmxchange drum circles and
events. Bob and Orlene Chartain and Bobby G, you have helped so much
to bridge the gap, and to help us move forward. It is great to know
the friends who do care and want to help with making future events
something to be desired. Every one gave valuable input to make this
drum circle work as a community.
It is imperative that with the many diverse people in the circle:
Different skill levels, Dancers, Singers, Special Needs, Newbies, and
On-lookers, that this be kept to as close to the mission statement
and guide lines as possible. People come for many reasons and its
known that you cant please everybody all the time. It is such a great
idea that was brought up last night to have more of a structure and
still be able to move with the flow. Then there is something for
everybody and they can choose when they would like to come and join
in...hopefully all night.
You all have experienced drum circle facilitation. What is so
important in this is that it gives everyone permission to play music
and explore, whatever the music skill .We all have the ability to
play...its there in our pulse!
<edit> I know we are looking forward to a new adventure.
Again, we thank you for your love and support.
