Jukebox Reaches for the Stars Benefit to Support Music Education
Saturday, February 5, 2005
Fabulous auction items, live (folky, rocky, deadish) music by Along
for the Ride
and a sit-down dinner will be featured at the “Jukebox Reaches for
the Stars” annual
benefit sponsored by the Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF) on
Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the Hotel Radisson Villa in San Mateo.
Up for
bid will be lunch with State Senator Joe Simitian, original oil paintings
provided by Escolta Fine Arts, 3 night / 4 days at Northstar Tahoe,
and more!
Proceeds from this event will benefit music education for Redwood
City
School District children. RCEF raises the funds to provide weekly
music
education for all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in the RCSD with its Music
for
Learning Program. The Foundation also helps fund the District’s Instrumental
Music Program for 5th through 8th grade students. Recent school budget
cuts
make it all the more crucial for community supporters to step in to
preserve
music in the schools. You can ensure the continuation of the music
programs
sponsored by the Redwood City Education Foundation by helping to make
this
fundraising event a success!
This event is in just a few more days. If you'd like to attend, don't
delay.
Reservations are required by 2/2. For more information or to purchase
tickets,
call the Foundation hot line at 568-0233.
Absentee bids on auction items will be accepted. To place absentee bids
on
auction items, call the Foundation hot line at 568-0233.
