Hello!
We're very pleased to announce that our guest DJ at this Friday's HDIF in
Brixton is David Gedge, of the Wedding Present and Cinerama. This will be
David's fourth DJ slot at HDIF, and we're looking forward to seeing what he
comes up with. The first two times, he played the Sugababes and "Kung Fu
Fighting". The last time he went for the likes of PJ Harvey and Ciccione
Youth. So anything could happen this time around. Come along and find out!
Indie song of the week: "Love Is A Wave" by Crystal Stilts. The single of
the year so far? I certainly can't get enough of it.
Sixties song of the week: "Hanky Panky" by Tommy James & The Shondells
Plus I think it's time to break out some summer songs at HDIF. At previous
Summer Specials, we've played the likes of "Summer In The City", "(Love Is
Like A) Heatwave", "Somewhere In Your Heart", "Cemetry Gates" ("A dreaded
sunny day...") What would you like to hear this time? More summer songs
please!
Hope to see you on Friday!
