Saturday, October 1st, slide guitar legend, Ellen McIlwaine, returns to Shepherdstown, WV to do another RiverHouse Concert, as well as celebrate her 60th birthday.  McIlwaine came out of the “Jimi Hendrix” era, and in fact Hendrix was a friend of hers.  They performed together.  In recent years, McIlwaine has toured Europe with Taj Mahal, and in 1999, the story of her life and musical background were documented in a film entitled A Slide Through Time: Ellen McIlwaine Live!   McIlwaine’s RiverHouse show will take place Saturday, October 1st at 8pm at Beans in the Belfry coffeehouse at 122 West Potomac Street in Brunswick, Maryland.  Admission is $10/person at the door.  Dinner will be available for purchase.  Roots artist, David Reid LaFleur and the Appalachian vocal duo Little Maggie will open.  For more information, contact Cheryl Mansley at 304-702-0554 or river_house@...
