Brunswick is celebrating Railroad Days this weekend with street vendors and activities, so three of the downtown blocks on Potomac Street in Brunswick are closed to vehicle traffic/parking today and tomorrow. Beans in the Belfry, which is where Ellen's RiverHouse Concert is taking place, is located on one of these blocks.
So, here are precise, easy directions from WV, MD, and VA, that will lead you to the MARC Train parking lot which is two short blocks from Beans. This parking lot is huge; it has 800 parking spaces, so you'll have no problem finding a spot! See ya tomorrow...and remember to practice singing "Happy Birthday" before you get there!
Coming from West Virginia:
Coming from West Virginia on US 340, take the Knoxville/Brunswick exit, turn right on Rt. 478. When you get close to Brunswick you'll be on Potomac Street. As you get two blocks away from where Beans in the Belfry is located (you will see a huge highway bridge before and above you), the street will be blocked for the Brunswick Railroad Days celebration. Turn left on North Delaware (uphill)and take the next right onto West B Street (downhill), continue for two blocks and you will get to a traffic circle. Take the second exit, A Street, follow the brown signs for Marc Train (you'll be on Maple Street crossing Potomac Street, and continue one more block and you will be at the railroad tracks and the huge Parking Lot (total of 800 spaces) on both sides.
To walk back to Beans in the Belfry, walk uphill on Maple Street one block to Potomac Street, turn left on West Potomac Street and go one block. Beans in the Belfry is at the end of the second block - red brick church building with sign hanging out.
If you would like to drop off passengers before driving to the parking lot, drop them off where the street is blocked on Potomac Street before you turn onto North Delaware. Your passengers can then walk one block ahead on Potomac Street and they'll find Beans in the Belfry in the next block on West Potomac Street. Coming from Maryland/Frederick area:
If you would like to drop off passengers before driving to the parking lot, drop them off where the street is blocked on Potomac Street before you turn onto North Delaware. Your passengers can then walk one block ahead on Potomac Street and they'll find Beans in the Belfry in the next block on West Potomac Street. Coming from Virginia you will come across the Potomac Bridge and get immediately to the traffic circle.
