NATIVE AMERICAN BAND to Perform at The Blue Moon in Shepherdstown

Sunday, April 22th at 7pm, Atsiaktonkie's 4 Wolves Prophecy - December Wind, will perform at the Blue Moon Cafe's "Blue Moon Sundays" Concert Series in Shepherdstown, WV.  For years, fans worldwide have been thrilled by Atsiaktonkie's moving lyrics and beautiful melodies.  As December Wind's lead singersongwriter, Atsiaktonkie has brought the world two highly acclaimed CDs - Sacred Voices and Second Wind, the second of which is a three-time nominee in national Music Awards

Atsiaktonkie is also a healer.  He performs healings all over the country.  Not being much of a talker, he says he puts everything down in song.  He has written over 1500 songs and released five CDs.  His music encompasses Folk Rock, Country and Americana.  Atsiaktonkie skillfully brings together lyrics and melodies for a powerful impact.  His newest songs It's the Breeze, Last Tribal Nation, and Hey Yo, have the everlasting appeal of classic rock.

The classic groove of December Wind's native alternative folk rock draws grass roots fans from around the world, and most especially from the western US.  When performing at festivals, Atsiaktonkie's charismatic stage presence draws listeners from far and wide to the stage.  When they hear the music, it is said, they feel the heartbeat.
Atsiaktonkie, on acoustic rhythm guitar and lead vocals, will perform with Shakoienteres on congas, bongo, hand drum, rattles and flute; Rorohronhakies, his son, on rattles and hand drum; Skaretehonkwa, who will dance and play drum and rattles; and Niionataah on vocals and native percussion!  They may also be joined by Melonie Storm on backup vocals and rattles.

Admission for this show is $15/person at the door.  Doors open at 5:30pm, dinner is served from 6:00 to 7:00pm, and music starts at 7:00pm.  At each show the Blue Moon offers a special menu, by Chef Ezra Newkirk, designed specifically for Blue Moon Sundays.  Newkirk serves up "mouth watering" appetizers, entrees, and desserts in hearty portions.  Beer and wine are also available for purchase.  So, visit the Blue Moon on Sunday evenings.  Hear some great music, eat some delicious food, and make some new friends!

Dinner reservations, with show to follow, may be made by calling the Blue Moon Cafe at 304-876-1920.  The Blue Moon Cafe is located on North Princess Street, at the corner of Princess and High in Shepherdstown WV.  For more information, contact Cheryl Mansley at 304-702-0554 or bluemoonsundays@....  Or, visit the Blue Moon website at www.bluemoonshepherdstown.com.
