Darren Beachley & the Maryland Line
Bluegrass and gospel performer, Darren Beachley, began playing music professionally in 1979 at the age of twelve. His father's band needed a bass player, and he got the job. It paid a whopping two dollars, but it was more fun than any 12-year-old could imagine, he'll tell you.
Nowadays, Beachley has his own band. He leads a talented quartet of musicians whose lightning quick instrumentals and three and four part harmonies,
lead by Beachley's "high and lonesome" sound, not only raise the hair on the back of your neck, but raise your spirits as well.

Mary Ann Redmond Band
“It's startling when the petite blonde with a perky smile opens her mouth and out pours an amalgam of
Gladys Knight, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin.” --Christopher Loudon, JazzTimes.
Redmond is well-known in her home base of Washington, DC, where she’s won a staggering 14 WAMMIE Awards
from the Washington Area Music Association (Best Female Jazz Singer; Best Rock-Pop Vocalist, Best Roots Rock/Traditional R&B Vocalist,
Best Urban Contemporary Vocalist and Best Female Blues Vocalist.) A native of Richmond Virginia, she has toured with her close friend Mary Chapin Carpenter
(the first and only background singer Carpenter has ever brought on board), and has opened for an array of artists including The Pointer Sisters, The Neville Brothers,
Ashford and Simpson, The O'Jays, and Smokey Robinson. She was also a close friend of the late Eva Cassidy. In addition to their vocal power, they both shared the gift
of putting themselves into a song and making it her own. “Eva taught me that no matter what happens, it’s got to be real,”
“You can hear it in every song she sang. And she was right." --AllAboutJazz.com

Slide Guitar Legend, Ellen McIlwaine

"She's a tough one to pigeonhole...her music uses the blues as a spring-board, spanning reggae, funk, rock, etc....
Being a wickedly sharp slide guitarist is only part of it." Winnipeg Free Press,
"McIlwaine has helped redefine woman's place in Rock Music." National Times,
"E.M. is down-and-dirty Delta swamp slide blues: she is the whole-and-nothing-but-the-soul-banging gospel truth."

Small Potatoes
The Chicago based folk duo of Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso say it has taken them years of careful indecision to develop a repetoire
they describe as "celtic to cowboy." Superb musicianship and showmanship, award-winning songwriting, and a strong sense of tradition has made them, as
Dirty Linen Magazine said, "one of the most polished, inventive, and entertaining shows on the circuit."

Gerry O'Beirne
A master musician of the 6 and 12 string guitar, Gerry O'Beirne's instrumentals are out of this world.
Besides being a superlative guitarist, this native of Ireland is also a beautiful singer and a powerful performer. Whether performing solo or with others,
his musical stylings, poignant songs, and passionate love of music draw his audience into an intimate circle in the largest concert hall or the smallest pub. This year Gerry is touring Ireland and the US, recording in Nashville, and working on a recording project with Maura O'Connell. If you're a fan of Maura O'Connell's,
then you've heard one of Gerry's songs, as Maura recorded his beautiful ballad "Half Moon Bay." Or, you may have caught him on
Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show. In any case, November 4th will be a night of music that you won't want to miss!
